Welcome to the Electricity Supply Pension Scheme

This website is here to help you find useful information and documents about your Electricity Supply Pension Scheme (ESPS) pension.

The ESPS is a two-tiered pension scheme made up of different Groups, each with its own independent Trustee Board. Together, these Groups are overseen by a Scheme Trustee, Electricity Pensions Trustee Limited (EPTL). Each Group is responsible for its own investment decisions, governance, day-to-day administration, and answering any questions you may have about your pension.

You can use this site to view important Scheme documents, stay up to date with key announcements, and find out who to contact if you have any questions about your pension.

The 2025 Scheme Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place online on Tuesday 18 November 2025 at 1pm. Details on how to register will be included in the AGM Formal Notice, which will be shared closer to the date.

Investment

The Scheme Trustee, Electricity Pensions Trustee Limited, no longer produces a Statement of Investment Principles or Implementation Statement as it does not make decisions about investments for the purposes of the Scheme. These responsibilities lie with the individual Group Trustees in respect of their respective Groups, which will each produce their own Statement of Investment Principles or Implementation Statement.
